Five Question Friday – March 22, 2013

Answer the questions in the comments or on your own blog (but leave a link)!

1. What advice would you give a newly married couple?

Dumbasses, it’s too late! . . . Nah, I’m kidding . . . but seriously, what the hell kind of advice would I be able to give to a newly married couple? I think this is one of those very rare things that falls into the category of stuff I keep my mouth shut about!

2. Who does more laundry around your house?

My boyfriend generally goes to the laundromat and then he brings the laundry home and I fold and put it away, so it’s a joint effort.

3. What items, if any, do you prefer to buy organic or make yourself?

I would prefer to buy mostly organic items in general, but economically it’s just not an option right now.

4. What book/TV series would you recommend for a friend on bed rest?

How much time do you have?

For books – Incarnations of Immortality series, anything by Christopher Moore, American Gods, The Graveyard Book, She’s Come Undone, Memoirs of Geisha, Angela’s Ashes, the Merry Gentry series, the Dark Hunter series . . . I think that’s a good enough start!

For TV series – Doctor Who, Torchwood, Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Dollhouse, Firefly, Eureka, Warehouse 13, Carnivale . . . Those should keep my friend busy for a while!

5. So, they say it’s Spring now…what does your “spring” look like at this very moment?

It’s supposed to be between the low 40’s and low 50’s all week . . . except on Monday, it’s supposed to be in high 30’s and according to weather.com, we’re getting snow.

    1. What advice would you give a newly married couple?

Seriously? Save your money now and annul. Baha!!! Enjoy your life, enjoy every moment, hopefully you are each others coolest, best friend, and if you want to be legally hitched fine, just don’t make her change her last name, and don’t expect either of you to be perfect or be sane. Because you’re neither.

    2. Who does more laundry around your house?

Adam, unless he’s sick, then it’s me.

    3. What items, if any, do you prefer to buy organic or make yourself?

Milk, cheese, fruit, beef, chicken, seeds, as much as possible.

    4. What book/TV series would you recommend for a friend on bed rest?

Oh God. Star Trek, all the movies from then and now. All the Paolini books (that’s the Eragon series, to none dragon lovers).

    5. So, they say it’s Spring now…what does your “spring” look like at this very moment?

50 degrees, we are tucked away in a mountainous region of Tennessee, and just about every where to our left and right has snow but we live in a whacky spot that doesn’t have it.

    1. Be on the same plane ethics, morals, backgrounds, and in regard to money money money. Marry your best friend.
    2. I do the laundry.
    3. I make almost everything – I eat very little processed foods. I don’t usually buy organic (except chicken) because I cannot afford to. If I could have a kitchen garden sometime in the future I would be a happy girl.
    4. Monarch of the Glen, BBC series, it’s good.
    5. My spring, snow this morning, cold, sun in afternoon, a bit warmer or the illusion of warmth, and tonight clear and cold. But it’s the knowledge that soon we will have flowers and warmth that keeps me going.
