Daily Prompt: 5 of my favorite authors

Neil GaimanToday’s post is from yesterday’s WordPress Daily Prompt:

Who doesn’t love a list? So write one! Top five slices of pizza in your town, ten reasons disco will never die, the three secrets to happiness — go silly or go deep, just go list-y.

So here are my top 5 favorite authors, in no particular order –

1. Kurt Vonnegut – my favorite of his so far is Breakfast of Champions

2. Christopher Moore – my favorite of his so far is A Dirty Job, which, I just found out, he’s in the process of writing a sequel to . . . so WOOT!

3. Neil Gaiman – he’s a recent favorite . . . I didn’t even know who he was until a year ago, and I only started reading his books a couple of months ago, but I have quickly fallen in love! The Graveyard Book is my favorite so far.

4. Laurell K. Hamilton – I am enthralled by the Merry Gentry series. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a new one in a few year 😦

5. Piers Anthony – While I could not get into the Xanth series, I absolutely loved the Incarnations of Immortality.
